Kristin Fisher joined CNN on July 20, 2021. She is the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent, she covers everything from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial space firms and the emergence in space travel. Kristin is the daughter of two NASA Astronauts. Kristin has grown up working in space, as well as covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. In her tenure, she reported on the presidential 2020 campaign, the impeachment trial as well as two initiatives to end the corona virus pandemic, and two other administrations' initiatives. Additionally, she went on trips with President Trump and Vice President Biden frequently. The trip included a shady trip with him to Afghanistan. Kristin was a fixture in the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to being hired by the CBS network. Kristin was the recipient of one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as the CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin utilized her knowledge behind the lens to start Field Mouse Films. The company specialized in producing documentary-style films, and became a preferred choice of corporate clients like Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin graduated with a Bachelors of Science in journalism from Boston University. She currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and three year old daughter.
